If I buy 100 shares of XYZ, i know I buy these from sb….When I sell, sb has to buy them from me…usually with shares thats never a problem at all.
How does it work with Options. Is it true that I actually can buy any options and I dont have “to find” sb who wants to sell…..I also can sell these options whenever I want….Fot example when I see the volume history of a certain option is 0 in the last 30 days, so nobody traded it, I could still buy and sell it easily…!?

The world of stocks revolves around a whole lot of investments. All the while, we talk about investing in stocks and trading in markets. We talk about maximizing profits and minimizing losses. We talk about making the most of our money and preparing for the future. Sometimes, we forget that we are the main player in our stock trading career and our primary duty is to invest in ourselves first. Educating yourself through a Stock Trading Course is one such investment.

The role of education

Education plays an important role in your growth as a person and as a professional. Any independent day trader would benefit from signing up for such a course. It would add more substance to the knowledge you have already gained through years of experience on the job and exposure in the field. It would add to your credentials as a stock trader, a broker, and an investor. As a stock market analyst in your own right, it would help you play the field better.

The right course for you

Seeking a formal education is a wise investment in itself, but choosing the right course for you makes it even more worthwhile. For the best choice in an online course, you have to examine closely the schools you are considering. They should have high standards in the quality of their education. Look into their methods of instruction and their media for learning. Ask about their time schedules and training sessions. All of these should work in your favor.

The additional resources

Aside from providing you with a good theoretical background on stock trading, an e-course must be excellent at equipping you with effective tools and techniques that apply in the real world. A course that hones your skills via a live trading experience would be more beneficial to you than one which only simulates a stock trading setting.

The individual approach

An e-course entitles you to be treated as an individual with your own requirements and needs. Because of individual differences, a study approach that works well for one person may not necessarily be effective for another. Online learning becomes most effective when you receive one-on-one instruction from a qualified professional who is an expert at stock trading and who has the track record to prove it.

The learning experience

At this stage in your life, as a mature individual seeking to be more, learning should not be an ordeal you have to face or a task you have to finish. To be truly enjoyable and fulfilling, learning should be a pleasant experience for you. As such, it will be easier for you to make the transition from the course to the job with more confidence and competence.

As a whole, stock trading courses are designed to improve your standing by making you a better asset to the stock trading world. They are meant to improve your finances by making you wiser in your investments. You can venture into a Daily Stock Report and come out with sound predictions on stocks and wise decisions on trades. You can understand the agenda and participate in the meeting of stockholders in any boardroom. If you can do this, then you have invested successfully in yourself.

HOT STOCK PICK FOR THE WEEK:

InnerWorkings (INWK) is setting up in a cup and handle chart formation and looking to move higher. InnerWorkings provides print procurement services to corporate clients in the United States, and boasts earnings and relative price strength readings in the high 90’s. While its industry group carries an average C rating, its accumulation is ranked a very strong A-. .

PAUL’S MARKET COMMENTARY FOR THE WEEK:

The attempted terror attacks in London had the market indexes on the ropes for a while Friday, but when things appeared to be under control, they fought their way back to a large extent towards the end of the session. Though most of the week was typified by early gains, which then dwindled away by midday, the indexes closed out the week with slight gains, with the Nasdaq up .6%, the NYSE edging up .2% and the S&P 500 eking out a .1% rise. Last week’s undercurrent was the trouble facing the subprime mortgage market, and specifically, its effect on hedge funds. But by next week, much of the attention will likely turn to the upcoming earnings season. While the market remains in a confirmed rally, most of the major indexes— including the Dow, S & P 500, Mid Cap 400 and Small Cap 600— are hovering near their rising 50-day moving average/support areas again, apparently waiting to see how things turn out. The market indexes displayed more than their fair share of volatility throughout each trading day last week, so caution is advised until we start seeing how earnings season starts to pan out, and whether any more terror plots emerge. As for economic news, look for the Institute For Supply Management’s manufacturing index Monday morning, then factory orders, pending home sales, and auto & truck sales Tuesday morning. On Thursday morning, look for the ISM services index, initial jobless claims for last week, and crude oil inventories, followed by Friday morning’s very important employment report.

FEATURED STOCK PICK HIGHLIGHTS :

Despite last week’s volatility, most leading stocks closed out last week in pretty good shape. As a prelude to earnings season, recently featured stock pick Research In Motion (RIMM) blasted $34.40 higher Friday on a strong earnings report and higher guidance. One wonders how Apple (AAPL) shares might fare next week, given all the hoopla and huge lines at all the Apple stores throughout the country. Meanwhile featured stock picks like KMG Chemicals (KMGB), BASF (BF), Flir Systems (FLIR) and Capella Education (CPLA) broke out during the week and headed higher. Given last week’s volatility due to the approach of earnings season and jitters from recent terror threats, keep your ear to the ground. It’s possible that trading volume will be quiet at the beginning of next week due to the approach of the July 4th holiday on Wednesday.

Here is a simple 5 Step process to help get you started out on the right track..

1. Finding a stock.

This is the most obvious and most difficult step in stock trading. With well over 10,000 stocks to trade in a good guideline is to consider first in which sector you wish to trade in first.

Of course you would be looking at a sector that is receiving good media coverage and in which the stocks concerned are going in in value. It stands to reason that you would not be looking too hard at a sector that was experiencing a severe downturn.

Once you have decided in which sector you want to invest in, you can then commence to start researching for a stock.

It is always best to have a system of rules already in place that will be used before buy each stock.

2. Fundamental Analysis.

A lot of short term traders might argue with the need to do any Fundamental Analysis at all, however knowing the stocks past history and the latest up to date news regarding the stock can be very crucial.

A good example would be the earnings season. If you are planning on buying a stock that has missed its earnings target the last 3 quarters, I dare say caution might be very wise.

3. Technical Analysis.

This is the part where the indicators play a part. Stochastics, the MACD, volume, moving averages, RSI, CCI, support levels, resistance levels and all the rest. Whichever batch of indicators you choose, whether they are lagging or leading, may entirely hinge on where you get your information from.

Keep it very simple when you first start out, for using too many indicators in the first place is a guarantee to achieve big losses. Get comfortable using one or two indicators first. Learn their intricacies thouroughly, and you’ll be on the road to making more profitable trades.

4. Follow your choices.

Once you have committed to a couple of trades you should then start to manage them properly. For instance if the stock is meant to be a short term trade you would then obviously be watching it more closely for your exit signals. If it’s a longer term trade you then of course need to set up different time frames such as weekly or monthly checkups on the stock. This effectively frees you up and gives you more time to do other things.

You can use this time wisely for keeping up to date with the news, determining your price targets, set stop losses, and keeping an eye on other stocks that you may want to purchase in the future.

5. Keeping an eye on the bigger picture.

This is best achieved by following the particular sector in which you bought your shares .For instance, if you are expecting a share price to go up on an oil stock you purchased and nearly all of the other stocks in oil sector are also rising, then this is cofirmation that you may have made the right decision.

But of course the reverse holds true as well. If the oil sector is starting to show a decline then it might be a good idea to take your profits and run. By knowing in advance and being aware which sectors are hotting up or cooling off stacks the odds in your favour.

If you are intrigued by media footage of the trading floor at The New York Stock Exchange, just witnessing the action might inspire you to try your hand at this adrenaline-fueled enterprise. You can start by learning basic concepts and simple, effective strategies. There really is such a thing as easy stock trading for beginners.

The transaction Wall Street calls trading is actually buying and selling. Shares (portions) of corporate equity are the commodities. A broker is a middleman who facilitates your trades. New traders should consider hiring a broker who is also a financial advisor.

Some beginners might prefer trading stocks and securing brokerage services via the internet. Automated e-trade is comparably less costly and more competitive. A significantly higher trader population keeps the digital market efficient. E-trade also allows convenient access to share prices.

Investors and advisors use one or more basic strategies. Some evaluate the financial stamina of a company by computing its statistics into a series of formulas and ratios. This fundamental analysis focuses exclusively upon immediately measurable data. These investors disregard market trends and avoid speculation.

Fundamental market analysts look beyond the dollar value of stock. They calculate a company’s earnings per share, the price buyers are willing to pay, and how the price of stock compares with the company’s total sales per share. The company’s book value-its worth when its liabilities are subtracted from its assets, is another factor. Fundamentalists further gauge stock value according to long-term returns on the investment. While solid statistics are central to fundamental analysis, its conclusions largely reflect traders’ perceived value of stock.

Technical analysis, by contrast, disregards the present financial condition of a company. Technical analysts refer to fiscal indexes, including various charts. The technical analyst reviews past market trends and chooses stocks based upon projections. Technical analysts contend that historical patterns recur. Trends warranting attention include daily trading highs and lows, potential declines and recoveries, and price change rates. Technical analysts also note indicators of increased buying or selling, and the potential for unstable price trends.

A beginning trader should discuss trading strategy with a broker. Most investors prefer to use elements of both present-based fundamental analysis as well as those of forward-looking technical analysis. Many traders and advisors also concede that success is partially a matter of chance.

Because stock trading is an unpredictable, and sometimes, a risky endeavor the beginner must consider a few guidelines. First, new traders should invest modestly. Reading about market strategies, financial news, or companies of interest is encouraged. Traders should know how to track their stock, even if they do so using online tools. But the most important thing a beginning trader needs is the proper attitude. Stock trading will be easy only if it is approached as a learning experience. Aggressive trading should be avoided, and making profits is not the best initial goal.

The excitement of the New York Stock Exchange draws beginners into trading. With a little information and a plan, you can be part of it.
