A stock trading platform is a software that you use for Stock trading online with your online broker. Your broker supplies the software and often times it is complete with a host of other capabilities such as stock charts, stock quotes, and in some cases stock market news.
Stock Market Trading Analysis Software
Software specifically designed for those who wish to perform their own analysis of the market. This can range from a basic Stock charts package, to a stock screening package, to a full-blown stock trading technical analysis package.
Stock Trading System Software
The most common packages that fall into this category are the types that has already been predesigned to generate stock trading signals for you. Stock trading system software may be either leased or purchased from the vendors who have already done the research into creating a profitable stock trading system which generates signals. The trader then takes action and places trades based upon the signals.
Here are several examples of this type of software:
Stock trading system software comes in several varieties. Some may be actually in the form of a simple spreadsheet in which you, the user, input certain values and have the spreadsheet calculate a signal in the form of a price level at which to enter and exit a trade. More sophisticated and typically more expensive software may actually interface with real time stock price data and generate the necessary signals without any user intervention.
